This painting on canvas is Anika Kuntzes first oil painting in 15 years. It marks somewhat of a turning point in her work.

‘I work from small pencil drawings/sketches which I draw. These distinct geometric and organic shapes have become my signature through the years. After the initial sketch I construct and draw out the whole sketch in colored soft pastel on canvas and the last stage would be the painting in oil over the pastel.’
